Customer Care, Service & Device Protection Charter

Welcome

Thank you for choosing Green Jack. Our goal is to provide transparent, professional, and reliable repair and technology services. This document explains how we work, what you can expect from us, and what responsibilities remain with the device owner.

 

1. Before We Begin

Your Service Request

When you leave a device with Green Jack, you authorize our technicians to inspect, diagnose, test, and perform the requested service.

Covered devices may include:

  • Smartphones
  • Tablets
  • Laptops
  • Desktop Computers
  • Gaming Consoles
  • Smart Devices
  • Other Electronic Equipment

All repair services are performed using professional industry practices and available replacement components.

 

2. Understanding Device Risks

Existing Damage

Many devices arrive with hidden issues that may not be visible during intake.

Examples include:

  • Damaged internal circuits
  • Weak connectors
  • Faulty charging systems
  • Liquid corrosion
  • Cracked solder points
  • Previous repair damage

Because these conditions often remain undiscovered until the repair process begins, additional repairs may be required.

Battery Safety

If a battery is swollen, damaged, leaking, or unsafe, Green Jack may recommend immediate replacement before continuing service.

Declining battery replacement transfers all associated risks to the device owner.

Water Resistance Notice

Opening any electronic device may affect factory water-resistant seals.

Green Jack does not guarantee water resistance after repair service is completed.

Biometric Components

Some manufacturer security features such as fingerprint readers, Face ID systems, Touch ID systems, and proprietary authentication components may lose functionality if previously damaged.

These features are not guaranteed unless specifically repaired and tested.

 

3. Your Data Matters

Data Responsibility

Customers are solely responsible for backing up:

  • Photos
  • Videos
  • Contacts
  • Documents
  • Applications
  • Passwords
  • Business Data

While every effort is made to protect information, Green Jack cannot guarantee preservation of data during diagnostics or repairs.

We strongly recommend creating a complete backup before service begins.

 

4. Repair Assurance Program

Labor Protection

Repairs performed by Green Jack include a limited 30-Day Service Assurance covering defects directly related to our workmanship.

Covered

✔ Repair-related workmanship issues

✔ Defective replacement parts supplied by Green Jack

Not Covered

✘ Accidental damage

✘ Cracked screens

✘ Liquid exposure

✘ Power surges

✘ Customer modifications

✘ Software infections or viruses

✘ Damage caused after pickup

Special Exclusions

The following services carry no warranty:

  • Data recovery
  • Liquid-damaged devices
  • Devices previously repaired by another technician
  • Devices with severe motherboard damage

 

5. Battery Coverage

Replacement batteries installed by Green Jack include a 30-day limited warranty against manufacturer defects.

Normal battery aging, misuse, overheating, liquid exposure, or physical damage are not covered.

 

6. Pricing & Payments

Estimates

Repair estimates are provided as guidance and may change if additional issues are discovered during inspection.

Payment Requirements

Completed services must be paid in full before equipment is released.

Special Order Parts

Parts ordered specifically for a customer require advance payment.

Because these components are customized for individual repairs, deposits are non-refundable.

Refund Policy

Once repair services have been completed, payments are considered final.

 

7. Device Sales Protection

New, Refurbished & Pre-Owned Devices

All device sales are final.

Eligible devices include:

  • Phones
  • Tablets
  • Computers
  • Smartwatches
  • Gaming Systems

Each qualifying device includes a 30-Day Factory Defect Protection Period.

Protection Does Not Cover

  • Drops
  • Cracks
  • Liquid damage
  • Misuse
  • Physical abuse
  • Cosmetic damage

If a verified factory defect exists, Green Jack may provide:

  • Repair
  • Replacement
  • Store Credit

at our discretion.

 

8. Accessory Purchase Guidelines

Accessories such as:

  • Chargers
  • Cases
  • Screen Protectors
  • Earbuds
  • AirPods
  • Cables

may be returned within 30 days only if:

✔ Unopened

✔ Unused

✔ Original packaging intact

Opened or installed accessories cannot be returned or exchanged.

 

9. Layaway Commitment Plan

To help customers manage purchases, Green Jack offers a flexible layaway program.

Requirements

  • Minimum payment of $20 per week
  • Full balance due within 90 days

Important Conditions

  • Deposits are non-refundable
  • Canceled layaways forfeit all payments made
  • Layaway items cannot be exchanged for different products

 

10. Device Collection Policy

Pickup Window

Customers are expected to retrieve repaired devices promptly after notification.

Unclaimed Property

Devices remaining unclaimed for more than 30 calendar days after service completion may be considered abandoned.

Green Jack reserves the right to recycle, dispose of, refurbish, or resell abandoned property as permitted by law.

 

11. Communication Authorization

By using Green Jack services, you authorize us to contact you through:

  • Phone Calls
  • Text Messages
  • Email Notifications

Communication may include:

  • Repair updates
  • Pickup reminders
  • Service notifications
  • Promotional offers

Promotional communications may be opted out of at any time.

 

12. Device Access Authorization

Providing device passwords allows technicians to verify repair quality before and after service.

Customers may refuse to provide passwords; however, functionality testing may be limited and future claims related to untested features may not be covered.

 

13. Ownership Verification

At pickup, the customer confirms that:

✔ They are the legal owner or authorized representative.

✔ The device has been inspected upon collection.

✔ Services were completed as agreed.

✔ Any concerns have been communicated before leaving the premises.

 

14. Dispute Resolution

Any dispute arising from services provided by Green Jack shall be resolved through binding arbitration in Franklin County, Ohio, unless otherwise required by law.
